Wheeler Plaque Forceps are specially designed for use in cardiothoracic surgical procedures that require removal of plaque such as in endarterectomy. These forceps are designed with a slightly widen and ribbed handle portion that aids in gripping and then narrows into jaws. This instrument is well suited for use in grasping and removing plaque from inside a variety of vessels because of its slim design and aligned jaws, it is available in three different lengths 6", 7.75" and 9" making it suitable for a wide variety of patient sizes and surgeon preferences.
