Potts-Smith Non-conductive Thumb Forceps are handcrafted with a smooth and durable, non-conductive nylon coating for electrosurgical procedures. Fully autoclavable, these forceps are available with either serrated tips for dressings or 1x2 teeth and serrations for tissue handling. Each model is available in three sizes. Insulated forceps feature a smooth, durable, non-conductive nylon coating for LEEP, LLETZ and other electrosurgical procedures. The blue nylon resists abrasion and provides excellent insulation. These instruments are fully autoclavable, and can come in patterns with either exposed or coated tips to accommodate a range of clinical needs. Most forceps, including ones not shown as insulated here, can be insulated for use in electrosurgical cases – please contact us for more information.

Thumb Tissue Forceps are crafted for general purpose use in cardiothoracic surgeries. Handling of delicate tissue as well as vascular structures is present in any surgical procedure, especially in cardiothoracics which have a surgical field close to many vital structures. This instrument is created with a tip surface impregnated with fine tungsten carbide dust making it very strong and stable and also giving it a grip that is secure but non-damaging to the structures between the jaws. This instrument is available in either 1.0 or 2.0 mm and in a range of different lengths making it a multi purpose tool.

Tissue (Needle) Forceps are handcrafted from tungsten carbide for a durable and strong instrument with a crosshatched surface to provide a secure grip. Designed with a serrated platform and 1x2 teeth, this instrument is ideal for securely handling tissues. The gold-plated handle with the ridged grip offers comfort and control for the user. Tungsten carbide forceps feature tips made from tungsten carbide, the hardest metal made for surgical instruments. Precision-milled serrations are formed onto the tungsten carbide inserts, resulting in pyramid-shaped teeth that provide a non-slip grip. Pyramid-shaped teeth align perfectly with each other to provide a durable and reliable grasp of the most delicate or toughest tissues, as well as needles, sutures, dressing materials and delicate vessels. Smooth tungsten carbide inserts are also available for delicate procedures.
