Thompson Valve Scissors are specially designed for use in cardiothoracic surgical procedures. This scissors feature a full curve as well as one blade that is serrated giving it an increased ability to grasp while cutting. This ensure that once an incision is made and the cut has begun the serrated edge will be able to provide some hold on the vessel or valve to ensure there is no snagging or that the valve doesn’t slip out of the scissor’s mouth. This instrument is available in 8.5″ and 9.875″ to accommodate different depths as well as a variety of patients sizes and surgeon preferences.
