Boehler Wire & Pin Extractor can be used in a variety of procedures to manipulate surgical pins and wire. Many orthopedic procedures such as repair of fractures or insertion of support after laminectomy procedures require the use of wire or pin. These added support confer additional stability to the bone and increase the speed of healing while reducing the damage done by trauma. This particular instrument can be used to insert, remove and reshape wires and pins as they are needed. This instrument is available in three different sizes to satisfy a variety of patient needs and surgeon preferences.

Particularly these pliers can be used in situations where it is required to make very sharp, angled bends in the wire. The delicate jaw of this instrument tapers to 2 mm which allows it to be used in manipulating cerclage wire. This wire cutter is specifically designed for use with drill-wires at a maximum 2.2 mm. This instrument features replaceable tungsten carbide blades which are inherently more durable than stainless steel and have an extended service-life. It also features replaceable rubber jaws making it highly versatile and customizable to accommodate a vast array of surgical scenarios. This instrument is available in either a standard design or left-handed.

This particular cutter is a front and side cutter and features double action tungsten carbide jaws that has a maximum capacity of 1.7 mm.
