Although this instrument could have a wide application on other vessels it is designed for use in clamping of the aorta. This instrument is comprised of premium German operating-room grade stainless steel.

This instrument is designed to keep a firm hold on the vessels that are being occluded but delicate enough not to bruise or tear the vessels thus reducing the amount of damage done to the patient. This instrument features jaws that are calibrated at 5 mm intervals making them ideally suited to give accurate measurement information during a surgical procedures. Additionally, this clamp features a slightly looped, u-shaped clamp to provide optimal gripping capacity but also maintaining that hold consistently throughout the procedure.
